Meet Maria
I believe the right story can change what people see, what they believe, and what they do.
My work sits at the intersection of story, ideas, publishing, and impact.
As a writer, editor, publisher, and social impact entrepreneur, I have spent my professional life helping people find the ideas that matter, shape them into something meaningful, bring them into the world, and create opportunities for those ideas to have a life beyond the page.
That is at the heart of how I work with authors today.
FIND. SHAPE. DELIVER. GROW.
I work with changemakers, visionaries, leaders, and accomplished professionals who know they have a book in them, but may not yet know exactly what the book is.
Sometimes there is a single idea. Sometimes there are years of experience, stories, research, and hard-won wisdom waiting to be brought together. My role begins before the writing: to listen deeply, ask the questions that unlock the real story, and help uncover the book only that person can write.
From there, I help shape the idea into a compelling manuscript, through developmental editing, coaching, co-writing, or ghostwriting, and then bring the work through the final editorial and publishing stages.
But I don’t see publication as the finish line.
A book can become a platform for ideas, a vehicle for influence, a contribution to a field, a catalyst for change, or part of a much larger body of work. So where it makes sense, I continue beyond publication to help authors think about positioning, visibility, impact, and what comes next.
A career shaped by story and purpose
This approach has grown out of a professional life that has never separated what we create from why we create it.
Alongside my work in writing, editing, and publishing, I have built and contributed to initiatives focused on ethical innovation, environmental consciousness, social equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, AI and AI ethics literacy, and environmental education particularly for children.
Through initiatives such as My Zalu and other impact projects, I have also worked to create spaces for healing, empowerment, and transformation, particularly for vulnerable communities.
These experiences have taught me that a powerful story is rarely just a story.
The ideas we put into the world shape how people understand themselves, their communities, and what they believe is possible. A book can carry knowledge, preserve experience, challenge assumptions, open conversations, build movements, and leave something behind for people who come after us.
That is why I care so deeply about getting the right book, not simply a book, onto the page.

Success with a purpose
All of this is grounded in my philosophy of Strategic Ethical Philanthropy: the belief that profit is not an end in itself, but a means to fund what matters, education, equity, empowerment, and a more just and sustainable future.
For me, the work is connected.
Find the story. Shape the idea. Bring it into the world. Then ask what it can make possible.
That is the work I want to do with every author I work with.
If you’re carrying an idea, a body of experience, or a story that you know needs to become a book, I’d love to help you discover what it could become.
