The Story That Changed My Life
There was a woman who faced an overwhelming financial crisis. She had lost everything—her wealth, her support system, and even her sense of hope. In the depths of her despair, she found herself buried in debt, struggling to find a way out. Sound familiar?
This woman, like many of us, had nothing left but a little oil. It was the only thing of value she had, but she didn’t know how to turn it into anything substantial. She thought it was useless. And yet, this small bottle of oil would become the very thing that would change her life forever.
In a moment of desperation, she sought help from the prophet Elisha, who asked her a simple question:
“What do you have in your house?”
Her response was clear, “Nothing at all, except a little oil.”
But Elisha saw potential in the oil. He told her to gather as many empty jars as she could, and then he instructed her to pour the oil into the jars. Miraculously, the oil didn’t run out until all the jars were filled.
This story is more than just a biblical narrative; it’s a blueprint for anyone facing financial hardship. It’s a reminder that, even when we feel like we have nothing left, there is always something within us that can be transformed into abundance. How This Story Changed My Life
Just like the widow, there was a time in my life when I had lost everything. I had no support, no money, no resources. But I, too, had an oil — the oil of my skills, my abilities, and my determination.
Once I realized this, I began to pour my “oil” into opportunities, starting small but growing steadily. The transformation wasn’t overnight, but it was real.
I used my skills to generate income, pay debts, and rebuild my life. Now, I’m on a mission to help other women discover their oil and use it to create lasting change — not just in their finances, but in their lives.
